This Residence Inn offers modern rooms with full kitchens and convenient access to nearby shopping centers like Palladio, though the experience varied drastically based on room selection. Guests frequently reported serious maintenance issues such as malfunctioning air conditioning, broken appliances, and pest infestations like fleas.
We stayed here last year for Xmas with family and had a good experience in room 310 on the top floor. We were given the exact same room this year, and when I walked in it reeked of dog. Lighting is bad in all rooms (we were in a few to know this). Rooms are also randomly stocked with kitchen items and each room we were in had maintenance issues. After our first night, my daughter and I realized that we were both getting bitten around our ankles and torso. Turns out the room had fleas. Hotel was accommodating enough to offer us a different room temporarily the second night until they can move us to another two bedroom suite the following day. The permanent room we moved to was on the second floor. I had asked the front desk if we would be able to hear noise above us on the second floor and was told that it’s only a problem if children are above you. That was a blatant lie. You can hear every single footstep above you in this property. You can also hear every sound from people outside the front door if you’re trying to sleep in the living room and you can hear loud talking through the walls. This hotel attracts families with children and children can be very loud. Our stay was for 10 days and I have barely slept for a week now. Last night someone was cooking what smelled like burgers and created too much smoke that the fire alarm went off and we all had to leave our rooms and go out in cold for an hour. Breakfast bar ran out of eggs and other items well before closing time on multiple days. We get to go home today. Next year will be an AirBNB.
Stayed 3 nights for a work trip. Clean, spacious room, fair price, basic but good breakfast, and friendly staff. Shout out to Natalia at the front desk...she's extremely helpful and welcoming.
Had an overall very nice stay here. Positives: Could leave bags with them as I arrived early and room was not ready yet. Very friendly and helpful reception, helped me sort various things like fees rearrangements, sorted out wifi whilst waiting for room to be ready, and helped me find a store nearby that sold something I needed to get. Jacuzzi water was heated so the temperature stayed comfortable no matter how many times you turn the bubbles back on. Beautiful patio area with nice shading from trees. Hot breakfast available everyday. Spacious room. Good free wifi, available across entire property. Netflix streaming available. Stove, dishwasher, microwave, full sized fridge available. Good bottle shop almost next door and walking distance to many good shops and restaurants at the Palladio area and other surroundings. Easy to get Uber with designated spot for pick up and drop offs. Room for improvement: This was probably just my room but the door handle gets stuck, so make sure it closes and locks before you leave. Cleaning was a bit slack, they only take towels and rubbish, no vacuum or wiping anything properly consistently like tiles or surfaces , and they keep leaving footprints all over bathroom. They also chuck all recyclables and trash all in the same bin. There was a stain on the office chair from a previous occupant. They also didn't replace toilet papers properly, had to ask when I heard a cleaner outside cuz I ran out after a week ish. No kettle available for convenience of making instant hot drinks, relied on the coffee maker for that but first few spurts water tasted like coffee remnants. At least there's a stove to boil water. Table and chairs not really ergonomic for someone of my height - table too high, but at least there's a portable couch table where I could put my laptop on and work comfortably from the couch.
A really nice place to stay! Very nice, clean, spacious and well appointed rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. I particularly want to call out the breakfast chef! He was super nice and made my morning today!!! Thank you!
I’m moving out of state and I decided to stay at this hotel for 2 nights in between driving. It was extremely stressful because I felt harassed by the front desk lady Susan. She went out of her way to harass us. It made me feel super overwhelmed. Then apart from her bad service our hotel barely had any lighting. Like apart from having to do my makeup basically in dark, the living room area part of rooms light didn’t even turn on. It was just a very stressful stay. I do not recommend staying here.
I have had two long-term stays at this hotel. My experiences both times were very pleasant. Friendly and very helpful staff. The hotel should include more variety on its breakfast menu. The choices are limited and gets boring.
? 1-Star Review — Lost Item Never Returned & Staff Lied About Room Service Stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott and had a really disappointing experience. My wife accidentally left her Stanley cup in the room. We realized soon after checkout and called right away. Instead of helping, the front desk gave us excuse after excuse — claiming the staff was “too short-staffed” to turn things in. That’s not a valid reason for missing items. It felt like it was taken, not forgotten. The woman at the front desk refused to check the nearby employee area, even though it’s right next to the room we stayed in. No effort, no customer service. Even during our stay, the staff was dishonest. They marked our room as “cleaned,” but it definitely wasn’t. We had to personally walk down to get fresh towels, coffee, and basic items — nothing was restocked. That’s a problem when you’re paying for a room that’s supposed to be maintained. We expected better from a Marriott property, but this place lacks accountability and honesty. If you leave something behind here, don’t expect it back — and don’t expect anyone to care either.
This stay was beyond disappointing. I accidentally left my Stanley cup in our room at the Residence Inn, and when I called shortly after checkout, I was met with excuses instead of help. I was told it likely wasn’t turned in because they’re “short staffed.” Since when does being understaffed justify stealing a guest’s belongings? The front desk staff was completely unhelpful and refused to check the employee area, which is right next to the room we stayed in. She made no effort to actually assist — just passed blame and brushed me off. This isn’t the first sign of dishonest behavior from the staff. While we were there, we were told our room had been cleaned on Saturday — it absolutely had not. I had to personally go down to the front desk to request fresh towels, coffee, creamer, and other basic essentials because nothing was restocked. They flat-out lied about providing service. This place clearly has issues with accountability, poor housekeeping, and staff dishonesty. If something goes missing, don’t expect support — just excuses. I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties and never had an experience like this. I won’t be returning to this location, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Second time staying here within months. First visit there were children's boxers left in the room. Gross. This recent trip the air conditioning was out in our room. After a day at a softball tournament in over 100° weather, it was a miserable stay with no AC. The Front desk host, Paul, was very nice and provided a small (non oscillating fan)- but, choosing to stay at the "nicer" Marriott in the area, I'll save my money next time. There should have been a discount for our miserable, sweaty, 85° room all night stay.
HORRIBLE! The owner of this hotel should have his franchise revoked. I am an ambassador member and have been here for over a month ( i only stay at marriots and am on business). First, there are 6 dryers and 3 washers. 2 dryers work and one washer. The others have signs that say sorry broken, go next door. It looks pathetic. 2. The air conditioner in the lobby has been broken for several weeks. The arrogant front desk manager woman told me when I asked about it " you have an extra $20k"!.. F you. Your poor employees are burning up not to mention guests in the lobby. 3. The fancy grill that is made for commercial use has been broken forever. Says a gas leak. Instead of investing money to fix it, the owner put a 250 dollar cheap ass little grill that is meant for a small family, not for a hotel with a lot of use. Twice cooking on it the flames were so high because of all the uncleaned grease on the burners. 4. The elevator takes 30 seconds to open because it has to adjust when it stops, plus the ceiling tile is out. 5.. THIS IS THE WORST PART AND IS A FRIGGING LIABILITY WAITING TO HAPPEN. On main floor across from the elevators they have the door propped open to the whole electric fuse box system with a fan blowing on it because the a/c doesnt work! IF it isn't fixed when I leave I am calling the city of folsom fire inspector to come look at it!... in addition to that, what would these owners think if a 8 year old kid walked in and hurt himself or shut down electricity to the hotel! 6.. the owners of this hotel are committing fraud by offering faster internet for a different price. I TESTED IT AND IT MEASURES A MEASLY 14 MBS ! 14 MBS! WITH OR WITHOUT BEING AN ELITE MEMBER!.. all again because these cheap owners can't pay for a higher internet speed. 7.. Also don't think about staying next door at the courtyard because same owners owns it and guess what they have motion detector for a/c/ Every day when I came back to room there my room was 78 degrees and that was before it got hot!.... NOW WITH THAT SAID... OTHER THAN THE MANAGER WHO SAID DID I HAVE 20K... the staff are very very sweet! all of them, and i feel sorry they have to sweat through these hot days. Also,, one more thing.. breakfast is only open 2.5 hours on weekends! Every other marriot residence inn has 3 to 3.5 hours.. of course another way this owner WHILE CHARGING YOU $12 FOR PARKING for no reason but to gouge his customers while he scrimps on everything that the client uses. I am sending this to my ambassador representative and hopefully she can pass it up the ladder, because I have seen motel 6 treat their clients better than this owner! I have lots of pictures but the site wouldn't let me upload them because they needed to be google pics
