The Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Folsom offers a convenient location near restaurants and shops, and is generally considered a clean and comfortable option for travelers. However, experiences vary significantly, with some guests praising the staff and amenities, while others have experienced issues with room temperature control, inconsistent service, and delayed check-ins.
My sister and nephews stayed here during the holidays. She got into town very late in the evening. The lady working the overnight shift was not the friendliest. My other issue was that I tried to call the room because my sister had over slept and even knowing the room number and reservation name, I was told they do not connect calls to the rooms so I stead I was forced to drive to the hotel which I feel was a waste of my time which could have been saved with just a phone call. Room was clean.
Typical highway side hotel. Nice, convenient for a quick night while traveling near the theater if you're going to a play or meetings at the college.rating is based on this type of hotel. They charge for parking which is a rip off for this type of hotel.
Our friends rented a conference room for an anniversary party here. The place was clean and tasteful and has a great courtyard/patio area. Although there were construction barriers outside, it was easy to park and get into and around the building.
Our experience this past weekend was really poor - bad enough for me to take to this platform to warn others. Even though check-in is at 3:00, the staff had allowed "a VIP" to check out late. Nothing they said made sense, and any idea we presented was refused. In the end, our room wasn't ready until 5:30 (and it wasn't clean). We were given no concession other than "free parking" ($12). And we had to change our plans because we needed to freshen up after driving that morning from down south. Truly disappointing.
This hotel was an oasis for us after a full day of hiking in Yosemite. We had originally tried to stay at an inn up in the mountains that was so dirty we left and called this location to ask for availability and they said yes. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were able to get settled easily. The whole building is very clean! the fitness center is one of the nicest ones I have seen in a hotel. The pictures online are accurate and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay again if we were ever in the area. Plenty of food/conveniences nearby and it is not far from Yosemite or Tahoe. The only downside is that there is a parking fee ($12).
We were there hosting an informational meeting/training. Courtyard team was exceptionally accommodating to our needs. We utilized several of their meeting rooms. They arranged a group breakfast each morning for our team. They provided coffee and water service for the meeting. Courtyard team was wonderful and contributed greatly to the success of our meeting. Area around the Courtyard is very busy. Lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance.
I stayed two days and moved out. They have motion detectors on their air conditioners. THAT MEANS IT TURNS OFF WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING! THEN IT TURNS OFF WHILE YOU ARE GONE ALL DAY WORKING.. THEN WHEN YOU COME BACK IT IS 75 DEGREES. so even though you pay for the room all day, this cheap owner wants to inconvenience the people that stay here, in addition to ripping them off with a FRIGGING PARKING FEE! for what? parking? give me a break. never stay here if you don't want your room to be hot unless somehow you move around i guess while you sleep lol
I stayed at Courtyard with my son from April 12 to April 15. Upon check-in, the front desk agent—whose name I unfortunately did not catch—was not hospitable and friendly. He greeted us in a very cold and unwelcoming manner. I’m not sure what prompted such treatment. Perhaps it was because I am a foreigner and my English is not perfect. The hotel did not appear to be full at the time, yet we were assigned a room (235) on the second floor directly across from the dumpster. It was very NOISY. Additionally, a large streetlamp was positioned right outside our window, which made it difficult to sleep. I truly believe this room was assigned to us intentionally, and the experience was quite unpleasant! However, I want to mention that the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff were very attentive.
Ok room (smaller than i am used to). Wish they had complimentary coffee in the lobby. My favorite part was the close.proximity yo Whole Foods and BevMo. Also, so grateful that the laundry and elevators worked .
The big winner at this hotel is Nick Pieracci. He has excellent customer service skills, is a good listener & is kind. The rooms are nice & clean, nothing to write home about but a good value for money when in the area. There are many restaurants & shops close by & easy freeway access is also available. The best place to stay when in this area is
