The Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Folsom receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its convenient location, cleanliness, and friendly staff, while others report issues with service, particularly regarding room cleanliness and responsiveness to maintenance requests. Concerns about parking fees and temperature control also emerge frequently.
DO NOT STAY at the Courtyard Sacramento Folsom. We only stay at Marriott properties when we travel but this hotel has been a huge disappointment due to the lack of customer service. Our room has not been cleaned in two days and no one seems to care about fixing the issue. It’s a shame because the hotel is in a great location but not worth the money or frustration. We will never return to this establishment again.
Nice hotel, close to restaurants and malls. It has a decent gym, would be great if it had included breakfast with rooms but fortunately there are several restaurants around.
My family and friends were here for a near by wedding. Marriott was gracious to set rooms aside for the wedding guests. We all came on May 7, 2026. I was told this location had received a new software system for checking in guests. Check in was a bit long but we all got through it. The manager on site that day was Michael Williams who really helpful with getting us through the process of checking in. The lobby has several different seating areas with comfy chairs. The out doors patio is a great place for the kids to play. Our room was facing west on the fourth floor with a view of the city. Our rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff working that day was so kind and friendly. Everyone who worked here greeted me with a smile.
Biggest drawback is the traffic in and out of the Courtyard. The parking lot does fill up fast. The elevator is very slow. The greatest thing about my stay is they allow pets. Any place that allows pets is number one in my book.
I recently stayed for 3 nights. On night 1 I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and the toilet became plugged. In the morning I showered and got ready to head into the office. I stopped at the front desk purse and keys in hand to let them know to have someone address the toilet while I was out. The lady at the desk asked me if I wanted a plunger thingie to fix the clog. I must have had a blank look on my face because she asked me again if I wanted a plunger thingie to fix the problem -NO I absolutely do not want a plunger to go upstairs and fix the problem. She said well housekeeping doesn’t come in until 9:00. Totally fine I was leaving for the day. When I checked in they asked if I wanted housekeeping services and I said sure. They fixed the toilet issue but didn’t clean the room. The next day they made the bed but didn’t empty the garbage. I walked into a room with a horrible odor from leftovers of dinner two nights ago. No problem if they are going to do minimal services but let the guest know so they can take care of things themselves. As far as the toilet… keys and purse in hand should have been an indication of leaving for the day. Even if I wasn’t leaving for the day I most certainly was not going to plunge a hotel toilet!
My sister and nephews stayed here during the holidays. She got into town very late in the evening. The lady working the overnight shift was not the friendliest. My other issue was that I tried to call the room because my sister had over slept and even knowing the room number and reservation name, I was told they do not connect calls to the rooms so I stead I was forced to drive to the hotel which I feel was a waste of my time which could have been saved with just a phone call. Room was clean.
Typical highway side hotel. Nice, convenient for a quick night while traveling near the theater if you're going to a play or meetings at the college.rating is based on this type of hotel. They charge for parking which is a rip off for this type of hotel.
Our friends rented a conference room for an anniversary party here. The place was clean and tasteful and has a great courtyard/patio area. Although there were construction barriers outside, it was easy to park and get into and around the building.
Our experience this past weekend was really poor - bad enough for me to take to this platform to warn others. Even though check-in is at 3:00, the staff had allowed "a VIP" to check out late. Nothing they said made sense, and any idea we presented was refused. In the end, our room wasn't ready until 5:30 (and it wasn't clean). We were given no concession other than "free parking" ($12). And we had to change our plans because we needed to freshen up after driving that morning from down south. Truly disappointing.
This hotel was an oasis for us after a full day of hiking in Yosemite. We had originally tried to stay at an inn up in the mountains that was so dirty we left and called this location to ask for availability and they said yes. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were able to get settled easily. The whole building is very clean! the fitness center is one of the nicest ones I have seen in a hotel. The pictures online are accurate and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay again if we were ever in the area. Plenty of food/conveniences nearby and it is not far from Yosemite or Tahoe. The only downside is that there is a parking fee ($12).
