Staybridge Suites Sacramento - Folsom offers spacious suites with kitchenettes and is conveniently located near shopping and dining. However, recent reviews indicate issues with cleanliness, unexpected fees like parking charges, and inconsistent room quality, along with some operational challenges like delayed cleaning and Wi-Fi problems.
I've stayed here about 5 times and have been disappointed with my last two visits compared to the first few. The hotel now charges for parking, though it previously didn't. The hotel is on the edge of town, there is no airport shuttle, there isn't much you can walk to besides Valvoline and the Costco, and so having a car is really a requirement if you are staying here. The parking is ample and it's just a surface lot; there is no parking garage to maintain. I'd rather they just bake the cost of parking into the cost of the room, since it's essentially a requirement, rather than making it a hidden fee later. I also typically reserve a 1BR suite with a pullout couch, and both of the last times I've stayed, there were no linens or pillows for the pullout couch in the room. Based on flight schedules, we typically check in late at night, and so it's tough for me to tell my kids to wait to go to sleep while the staff (who are helpful and responsive) go to get the sheets, blankets, and pillows. Finally, they have started locking the front doors, which I understand for overnight, but they stay locked until 11am. I'm not sure if it's because of staffing or out of safety concerns, or something else, but it just feels like between the parking, the linens, and the locked doors that they are cutting corners to try to save a few bucks, which is unfortunate since it's an otherwise great place to stay.
We had a 3 night stay. Our room was a full size apartment, or bigger than my first apartment. Full size fridge, kitchen, living room with TV, separate bedroom area, another tv. The room is so clean and comfortable. It's a great location, we are visiting family in Folsom. It's 20 minutes outside Sacramento proper. Right by a Costco, Whole Foods and plenty of great restaurants. The service was excellent, very friendly, accommodating and seemed to care. It's really nice place to stay.
I love this hotel & suite with complimentary breakfast and the parking was only charged for $10. compared to other hotels with no complimentary breakfast and high parking charge. there would be a different of $100 per day of the stay. I will definitely pick this hotel
Good location, friendly staff. Rooms are a bit outdated. Indoor pool but no hot tub. Biggest issue is they charge for parking unnecessarily. Definitely just one of those "we squeeze cause we can" fees
LOVE the breakfast staff Donna and Isabel! Issue we had was due to holiday season, assembled crib wasn't available for our infant. The original Pack n Play would not hold its longer arms extended rendering it unusable for a safe sleeping spot. Replacement worked perfect, thanks to the midnight manager. We arrived around midnight, coffee and citrus water available all the time! Nice king bed with kitchenette and full fridge! We were able to borrow Tongs to sanitize baby toys/teethers and bottles/pump parts. Corkscrew, cutlery, and dishes in-room. Social time Mon-Wed was great, looking forward to staying here again!
Wonderfully comfortable, great staff. Nice accommodations. Heated indoor pool. Nice breakfast. Quiet and restful. All the amenities you would expect.
Where you are visiting the are on business or some other reason this is a nice hotel to stay in, especially if you like to have a small kitchen in your room. The location is very convinient close to shopping, entertainment and many retaraunts. The service was very professional and the room was clean and comfortable. I stayed a few days and if I come back to the area I would consider staying again.
Nice hotel with indoor swimming pool. It’s clean and staff is friendly and customer focused. Breakfast was basic but ok. We had early appointment on Sunday and they allowed us to have breakfast an hour early! There’s enough and safe parking, but no EV-charging. The lady at the front desk, Jessica Lubenko went above and beyond to ensure her customers were satisfied. Great job!
Nice rooms but watch out if you have a dog. They advertise as pet friendly and there was nothing in my itinerary that alerted me to a $150 pet fee at the last minute!! And it doesn’t matter if you stay there one night or 100 nights, it’s $150. It doesn’t matter if you have 10 pit bulls or one tiny Malti-Poo, still $150 (Double the amount that most hotels charge). Effectively doubled our room rate. But wait, There's more, they charge $10 for parking (and they keep that a secret so it just shows up on your card). The parking is fully unsecured so this is just more "gouging". There are way too many alternatives in this area that are just as nice or nicer and that aren't doing everything thing they can to take more of your money
Absolutely floored by the service here. I checked in about an hour ago and the ladies and gentleman that have helped me have been amazing. Super helpful and totally go along with my goofy sense of humor. This place is great and the room has amazing AC. My only complaint is the freezer bags of ice are ghetto ?? LOL. All jokes aside this place is great and would definitely recommend.
