Recent reviews of the Hilton Garden Inn Folsom paint a mixed picture, with several guests praising the friendly staff and convenient location near shopping and outlets. However, concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance issues (including mold and clogged drains), and billing errors persist, particularly from more recent stays. A significant number of reviewers note issues with room readiness and customer service responsiveness.
Room wasn't ready when I arrived after 6pm. Not sure why since I already checked in through the app for my arrival. Still had to wait... Not the best customer service. Had to remind them multiple times for requesting housekeeping and repairs and supplies... The hotel needs some renovations too.
MOLD growing on ceiling - called around 10:30 local to see if I could check in early and grab a room to change before heading into work. After being denied and trying again at noon and having no where else to change I arrived at the property a little after 12 and the staff had apparently still not cleaned any king size rooms in the hour and a half between calls. I was directed to change in the women’s restroom where the handicap stall was not in working order and tied up with caution tape. Leaving me to squeeze into a small stall to change and freshen up.. no help or care from staff. When ordering dinner I was informed that the restaurant did not have any chicken breast to serve for dinner. The room was generally dirty and to top it off there is mold growing on the bathroom ceiling. I would NOT recommend this property. After attempting to call the front desk twice without an answer to try and change rooms; I canceled my 4 night stay and went over to the Hampton which has been 10 times better and cleaner.
i am not kidding nor exaggerating when i say this is one of the best hotels i’ve stayed at. every single person who works here is super friendly. it’s near shopping, restaurants, and a gas station. very clean. they respect preferred names, and truly make you feel like you’re not only welcome here but also a friend. Raj, the general manager is also very sweet. Mandy, Alyssa, Lynn, Ellen, Ruby, Tanya and Jobi (i’m so sorry if i misspelled your name) are 100/10 human beings. the food? excellent! And honestly the food is not that expensive if you consider the quality. I’ve been to hotels where i’ve felt both uncomfortable and unwelcome, and i am not at all lying when i say i am sad that we have to leave. This is a hotel i will ALWAYS recommend no matter what. you will not regret staying here i promise you. Also they are pet friendly, and the furry friends are not only allowed but encouraged and welcome. My ONLY complaint if i had to come up with one would be slow elevators. That aside though, if you’re in need of a home away from home this is the place to go.
I travel a lot for business, and I most always stay in Marriott properties. On this occasion I thought I would give Hilton a try. I really only need a few things in a hotel: easy booking, a clean room, wifi that works, a good workout, and a simple breakfast. I got none of these things with Hilton. I booked the room same day through Hilton Honors (mistake), arrived late, and the front desk told me the hotel was fully booked. They increased my rate $50, found me a room, and threw in a bag of chips. Beer was extra. Bed was not clean. Thankfully brought my sleeping sack. Wifi kept disconnecting on business Zooms. Peloton was not connected to wifi. Front desk said they would send the maintenance guy in to enter the security code and get it connected. That never happened. Asked the front desk for breakfast in the area. Clueless on region and wanted to charge me $20 for their not very good looking buffet. I guess my rate didn't include breakfast even after the $50 upcharge. Sorry Hilton. I'm sticking with Marriott.
Stayed here this weekend for two nights - rooms were very clean, staff were friendly and helpful, and the hot tub was especially nice to use!
The room was clean and comfortable. We had our dog with us and it was nice to find a place with no size restriction. The breakfast was really good and the service was also great. I would definitely stay again. The only one weird thing I found was that there was no place in the bathroom to hang the hand towel. There was a towel bar along the shower, and a hook on the door, but that's it. Why not add a towel bar to hang the hand towel?
We had a great stay here! Room was large and very clean. Comfortable bed with good blackout curtains so we could sleep in. Nice breakfast in the mornings in the peaceful restaurant downstairs with friendly staff.
It was a beautiful stay here except the AC didn't work that great. It kept shutting off and I like continuous fan and the ability to cancel noise from the other rooms.. it was so frustrating to have it decide when to shut off and I could not control it. Other than that, great room, nice shower flow, TV was okay could play Netflix if you logged in. Parking was ample and free. Never had breakfast as I never wake up in time as I go to bed late. Love the size of the room and how warm and friendly staff were. Ate a nice meal with salmon and the street tacos for us. Wings were good too and the Pinot. Was located next to a gas station so was convienent. Outlet malls nearby too. Close to dow town historic area. Quiet and calm environment.
The room was very clean, smells great, the necessary room essentials and a beautiful blue sofa bed to sit on. Room was close to the elevator and very quiet. Might try the hot tub..
Stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Folsom and you can tell things have changed for the better. The rooms were super clean, the bed was comfortable, and check?in was quick with staff who actually seemed to care. I was able to hit the gym in the morning and it had everything I needed to get a good chest day in. Equipment was clean and well kept, which you don’t always see in hotel gyms. The location’s solid too—right across from the outlets and close to food and trails. Overall, the place feels fresher and better run than it used to. Definitely noticed the difference and would stay here again.
