Lake Natoma Inn receives mixed reviews, with praise for its convenient location near Folsom and the river, as well as friendly staff. However, recurring concerns include noise levels, outdated room conditions, inconsistent service, and maintenance issues such as power outages and malfunctioning amenities. Recent reviews highlight problems with room quality, cleanliness, and responsiveness from hotel staff.
Stayed at Lake Natoma Inn for a wedding. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Great location in Folsom. Easy access to American River, restaurants and shops.
Given the venue, you would expect there to be a lot of activity. But it is loud, very loud. Kids and adults making disruptive noise well into the evening, inside and out. Some guests on our floor were coming out of their rooms and hollering at people to be quiet. Where was the hotel staff! In the morning we discovered our windows were cracked open an inch. Breakfast was not ready until 730; many people were disappointed as they had incorporated this in their plans. Front desk staff were unable to explain why. Won’t be staying here again. And remember to check your windows if parking lot noise is keeping you awake.
I will never come back here again. First we had a power outage that left the rooms without power for 2 hours, then there is a club across the street that is so loud that all you hear is bass until 3:00 in the morning. On top of it the rooms are stuffy and the heating and air keeps shutting off. Then because it is the weekend there's no management to correct the problem.
I have had closets bigger then gym. Tv's non hd and few channels. Manager Joe implied my son made up having bugs in cereal to get freebie. If wanted a freebie why not order steak and eggs. Complete rude unprofessional fool with annoying venacular. Good location will give them that with nice garden area in bavk. Vending machines didnt work and room itself nothing special. More congruent with cheaper hotel quality and cleansiness. Outside gives appearence of luxurious hotel but far from it. Due to rudeness and unprofessionalism of Joe the manager will never stay here again. Instead of buying sealed individual cereal boxes they take cheap route and buy large family boxes and leave open. That tells you all you need to know on quality standards. Also doors to rooms slam loud automatically making it impossible to sleep in. I cannot belueve they do not remedy this issue again taking cheap path.
Good: proximity to restaurants & things in the touristy area, microwave & fridge in the room, good water pressure in the shower, plenty of parking. Not good: everything is dated, elevator raggedy, extremely noisy-you could hear toilets flushing/showers running/ppl walking/doors slamming at all hours, HVAC very loud, no stairs not marked as only emergency exits, cafe/restaurant hours insufficient, no bedside lighting switches/light switches only at front door, TV had a good amount of channels with unclear picture, no streaming options. I must reiterate just how loud the place is. They should give ear plugs out with the keys.
We called the hotel phone number and a third party vendor handled the reservation in the name of the hotel. We paid for a room and were baited and switched. This was never through an online site at all. This was represented on the phone as if it were the hotel directly. We take responsibility for getting scammed. The fact is that the hotel partners and accepts business from shady third party booking companies like the one that booked us there. The review is more about the response from the front desk and the overall hotel experience being poor. I also would say that the response to the review is a good indication of the way things are handled. Just know before you go. The front desk could care less Paid 80$ extra for a king room… ended up with a run down double room. Hopefully Amex fraud protection helps out.
I was only there for a celebration of life so I didn't stay overnight. But they have ample parking. The room we were in was well-lit and they had a separate area for a bar. We all really appreciated that. RIP Mandy.
The staff was amazing, the room was clean and very nice. There is a nice little bar downstairs, along with a nice menu to sit and eat from also. It's also a very short walk to downtown Historical Folsom. There's is a beautiful walking trail on the back side of the Hotel also. There's also a lot of really nice shops all along downtown to window shop or shop for that special gift. Very nice place, and I'd stay here again for sure.
I've stayed at Lake Natoma Inn a few times over the years. It's a great hotel in perfect proximity to Folsom DT and the river walk. The hotel rooms have comfortable bedding and linens. I wish the hotel could figure out a way to make the room doors more quiet. They're self-closing and so loud and sometimes continuous with housekeeping and guests coming/going. Other than that, the hotel is really nice to stay at.
It was a beautiful place to stay, it was clean and cozy. It was odd that the front desk call our room at and woke us up 11:30 pm to ask if we checked in and our names. Then we took our things to our car went for a walk and came cack to the room two hours before checkout and they already stripped it.. we didn't get to take the small sleep we were planning before hitting the road. They checked out for us
